What to save when you find a copied video or fake channel
Start with the links and examples you already have. A clear comparison helps us understand the issue quickly.
- Your official channel and original uploads. Include the original video links and relevant timestamps.
- The suspected impersonation channel. Save its URL, handle and channel ID if available; names and handles can change.
- Each copied video or Short. Collect direct links and note where the matching material appears.
- The misleading presentation. Capture the channel banner, profile image, description and statements suggesting it is you or affiliated with you.

Questions about YouTube impersonation and content theft
Can you help when a channel uses my name and my videos?
Yes. Fraus reviews both the identity misuse and the copied content. That includes documenting how the channel presents itself, comparing uploads with your originals and pursuing the appropriate enforcement routes.
Is a fan channel automatically impersonation?
No. A channel discussing a creator is different from one presenting itself as that creator. We examine the actual name, handle, presentation and content rather than relying on the fact that it features you.
Does an advertisement prove the uploader earned money from my video?
No. An advertisement alone does not establish who received revenue or how much. We record what is observable and distinguish it from financial information that has not been verified.
Can you guarantee that YouTube will remove the entire channel?
No. YouTube determines the action it takes after review. Fraus’s role is to document the misuse, submit appropriate reports and follow through; removal of one video does not itself establish that an entire channel will be removed.
What if my real YouTube account was hacked?
